Solutions Architect (m/w) - Customer Experience Domain

Kantar has a vacancy for a Solutions Architect.  This person will be tasked with driving innovation within the business.  They will be expected to deliver on business needs, connecting business requirements with a great understanding of technology.  In order to be successful, this person will require excellent soft skills, and the ability to work effectively with offshore resource effectively.

Your responsibilities will include
  • Building high-quality systems using best practices and mentoring others on how to do the same
  • Translate business problems into IT solutions
  • Proactively suggest IT solutions to answer (future) business requirements
  • Performing applied research and development and prototyping activities, either directly or in an oversight capacity
  • Providing technical leadership for platform technologies and solutions, once rolled out into production
  • Working closely with our DevOps teams to define the deployment architecture and take responsibility for making this architecture sustainable
  • Mentoring technical leads and developers
  • Furthering a culture that is based on knowledge sharing and best in class execution
  • Staying abreast of industry changes related to BI, analytics, and big data and how this can affect the practice area and its products

The ideal candidate will have
  • Experience in managing and driving complex engineering programs
  • 3+ years of experience in developing .NET enterprise applications using web technologies (WebAPI, MVC4, NancyFx)
  • Deep hands-on knowledge of the .NET 4.x Framework, including Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET WebAPI/MVC, Entity Framework, AngularJS, JavaScript and CSS. Good working knowledge of REST, SOLID principles, OAuth2 and MapReduce
  • Hands-on experience designing and building scalable web applications, particularly working with n-tier architectures along with some experience with service-oriented architectures (SOA)
  • Experience with establishing project usage procedures for source control, work item tracking, and build management with TFS, Git or similar
  • Good understanding of data privacy policies and security practices (authorization, authentication, encryption)
  • Ability to work with senior leadership to set realistic program goals and metrics
  • Possess knowledge of sound business practices and a proven track record of exceeding customer expectations and anticipating their needs
  • Fluent in at least English
  • Experience with large scale data processing and cloud services (Azure) and cloud orchestration is a plus
  • Knowledge of statistical topics such as correlation, regression, text analytics and machine learning is a plus
